Tachi-basami (Tailoring & Fabric Shears)

Tachi-basami (裁ちばさみ)

Description

Tachi-basami (also known as Rasha-kiri) are traditional fabric shears. They are forged by marrying high-carbon steel blades with softer iron handles. The blades are hand-aligned to touch only at the precise point of shearing, giving an incredibly smooth, effortless cut.
